Gregory advises on various aspects of environmental law and policy including environmental impact assessments, land use planning, environmental legal compliance and the environmental aspects of mining. He has also prepared a number of legal documents for SADC countries relating to fishing activities and environmental impact assessment.
An experienced trainer, Gregory has assisted at and presented workshops to municipalities in and around Cape Town to facilitate sound environmental decision-making. Coming from a coastal community, Gregory has a particular interest in the successful development and allocation of fishing rights. He provides ongoing support to the University of Cape Town’s Environmental Evaluation Unit on matters regarding fishing and marine protected areas.
Gregory has prepared and updated environmental compliance reviews for clients, provided general environmental legal advice and assisted clients with planning issues. He regularly prepares legal registers for clients across South Africa. His commercial clients include companies in the manufacturing, waste and forestry industries.
